MENTAL HEALTH

It’s no secret lawyers, judges and law students face stressful circumstances on a regular basis. The profession comes with demanding deadlines, high expectations and concern for clients. These challenges too often create an environment in which mental health and emotional issues can develop. The resources below, organized in key topic areas, can provide more information and tools to boost mental health and well-being.

Wellness and well-being are essential to being a productive and fulfilled attorney. Without wellness we simply cannot perform at our best. The challenge is always finding the time. The only method that I have found that works is scheduling self-care practices and treating them like any other important appointment. It doesn’t have to be complicated and can be as simple as scheduling a walk during lunch, meal prepping for the week, or working on a hobby during the weekend. The most important thing is that you have taken a strategic approach to prioritize your well-being.
