Moments of Gratitude in November

The South Carolina Bar Wellness Committee  is happy to announce its first wellness challenge of the 2020-2021 Bar year. The stressors that come with being an attorney are ever-present, but they are especially predominant now in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the upcoming holidays.

The Committee challenges everyone to practice mindfulness by identifying 3 things for which they are grateful every day this November. If you are so inclined, we would love to fill social media with these moments of gratitude, so please feel free to tag @scbar and/or @scbaryld and use the hashtag #livingabovethebar. 

In connection with this challenge, we also encourage Bar members to read “The Gratitude Project: How the Science of Thankfulness Can Rewire Our Brains for Resilience, Optimism and the Greater Good.”  We will host weekly virtual meetings beginning Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 7 p.m. to discuss “The Gratitude Project” and the importance of practicing mindfulness.
